Lost & Grounded Brewers

At our brewery, we faced the challenge of having to manually lift our beer kegs off the packaging line. This was not only very labor-intensive but also increased the risk of physical strain on our employees. We knew we needed a solution to address these issues, so we began to consider a handler for the kegs.

 

However, when selecting a suitable handler, we encountered various challenges. One key requirement was that the system had to be able to lift and rotate the keg in mid-air, as the kegs came off the line upside down. Other suppliers could not provide a safe solution for this specific problem. Dotec, on the other hand, offered exactly what we needed.

 

We discovered Dotec through an online search, but initially, we had reservations about the cost. The system was more expensive than a vacuum lifter from other providers. Nevertheless, the Dotec LiftAssist proved to be a far superior solution. Cheaper alternatives simply did not meet our requirements, and the benefits of the handler more than justified the higher costs.

 

What ultimately convinced us to choose Dotec was the experience of testing a similar handler at the PPMA show in Birmingham. We were impressed by how intuitive the LiftAssist was to operate.

 

Since using the Dotec LiftAssist, the benefits have been enormous. The system eliminates the need for our operators to manually lift beer kegs weighing up to 64 kg, significantly improving health and safety when working on our keg filling line. After just a few hours of use, our operators were already very familiar with operating the handler.

 

Given our positive experiences and the considerable benefits, we would not hesitate to choose Dotec again if we needed a new handling solution.
