We recently have added a new automated warehouse connected to our laser cutting machine, which stores both cut and uncut sheet materials like aluminium, steel, and stainless steel. This laser cutting machine operates unmanned during the evening and night, meaning that by morning, various sheets need to be moved. Previously, moving the larger sheets always required two employees due to the size of the materials. Naturally, you would prefer to allocate that extra employee elsewhere. With the handler, a single employee can now move the sheets alone, even when the quantities and sizes are large.

 

When you make an investment, you naturally want to make the right one. Our goal was to make unpacking more efficient and ergonomic for the employee. Of the vendors, Dotec stood out in terms of quality and communication. After a reference visit to a company that already uses multiple handlers, we were convinced. There, we saw firsthand how easily operators can operate the handler. Additionally, we experienced for ourselves how user-friendly the system is.

 

We often stack many of our sheets on angled sheet carts. With the handler, we can pick up the sheets from a horizontal position, easily and quickly tilt them to the right position to stack on the angled sheet cart. In no more than 15 minutes, our operator was able to independently work with the handler to stack the sheets.
